Bedford St George's Golf Day and Ball

25th & 27th & April 2019

The Rotary Club of Bedford Park St George’s Day Ball 2019

This will be the 27th year of the St George’s Day Ball. Last year’s Ball and Golf Day raised £23000 for local charities, and we are hoping to repeat that success this year. The Rotary Club of Bedford Park have booked the Ball at Park Inn by Radisson on Saturday 27th April 2019.

We are delighted to announce that the band “Big Me” (see them on YouTube), are again, providing the musical entertainment.

The evening commences at 6.45 p.m. for 7. 15 p.m. with sparkling wine and canapes. The evening will also have a themed “Heads and Tails”, and Auction of Promises between the main course and dessert.

Tables of 10 are £500 (£50 per head); a few tables of 12 are also available. The events are sponsored to help keep ticket prices down and maximise money raised for charity. This year’s sponsors are Eagle Brewery(Marstons), Old Road Securities, Clydesdale, and DLP(Planning).

The golf tournament will be played on 25th April at our regular venue, Bedford & County Golf Club. Enter in teams of 4 for an 18-hole Stableford competition which tees off from 11:00. Prizes will be presented during a three-course dinner afterwards with patriotic fun and top-quality comedy entertainment sponsored by Clydesdale Ltd.

The cost of entering a team of 4 is now only £340 (£85 per player) due to the generosity of our sponsors, and represents excellent value for an event with so many attractions both on and off the course.

The primary aim of both our St George events is to raise money for charities, continuing the wonderful tradition of previous events which have raised a total of over £500,000. Our main charities this year are the Tibbs Dementia Foundation, and Bedford Sports Foundation. We also plan to support other Rotary charities including FACES, Festival for Art and Music, and Bedford Youth Opera.
